Guilty Pleasures
Earlier this year I found I had quite a bit of time on my hands, I was house and dog sitting for some people I know while they were away on holiday for a fortnight. As the only thing there was to keep me company, apart from the dog, was the TV I pretty soon got very bored with what was on offer via the normal channels and I’d exhausted the few porno DVDs that I’d taken of my own. I decided I’d take a trip to HMV to pick up some new viewing material.
I scanned the racks for something new to watch that I hadn’t already seen and a subject matter that would keep me interested. I’ve seen all possible Star Trek episodes either TOS, TNG, DS and Voyager. I’ve seen all Babylon 5 espisodes more times than I care to admit, I have all available Doctor Who DVDs stashed on my shelves at home, I can’t get into Battlestar Galactica. I’ve exhausted all Primeval and Being Human, so when my eyes fell on the boxset of Supernatural Season 1 my heart skipped a beat. Especially as there were two rather cute boyish leading men to drool over on the front cover.
The boxset was also on special offer at a very reasonable rate so I grabbed it off the shelf and made a beeline for the cash desk. Once at my friends house, after fussing up the dog, I dropped the first DVD into the player, sat back and began.
I watched all 20 odd episodes over the next two nights. On my way over the next day I stopped off and bought season 2 and 3 and again over the next few nights watched them all in succession. I became hooked on the Winchester boys, especially Dean, played by Jensen Ackles. Just my cup of Earl Grey! All Italian looks, lithe torso and smooth hairless skin.
When I’d finished season 3, the next day I went out and bought season 4, only to find that only the first half of the season was available! I had to wait for the last half…until now!
This week, season 4 volume 2 has been released and I can get my fix of humpy Dean once again! Now where did I put those tissues..?
